HFCC Members Win Doubles Championship in "The Falls Spring GC Open"

Congratulations to Don Eastman and Billie Ray for winning the inaugural "The Falls Spring GC Open" doubles first flight championship! The tournament, which was held at HFCC May 13-15, 2021, hosted players from throughout the southeast.

Mah Jongg at Highlands Falls

A couple days a week, friends gather around the Club to play a uniquely challenging, yet social game of Mah Jongg that tests their skill, strategy and luck. Mah Jongg, originally developed in China, is played by millions of people across the world. It’s similar to the Western card game Rummy but uses small tiles with symbols instead of cards.

Green Reading 101

Green reading starts as you approach the green. Look for features around the greens like mounds or bunkers to see what influence their construction is having on the movement of the green. Another useful tactic is to learn where water is likely to run off after a shower. Usually, a green will have multiple run-off zones.

Like many in the Highlands community, a multitude of Highlands Falls Members share an affection for plants. Our Members are part of the Mountain Garden Club, The Laurel Garden Club, and the Annual Dahlia Festival.
