Located in beautiful Highlands, NC, Highlands Falls is situated in what's considered the only rainforest in the Eastern United States, Nantahala National Forest. Highlands boasts sun filled days but also a record rainfall that creates a lush plateau of native plants. Mountain Laurel and Rhododendron flowers adorn the area's many hiking trails in the summer, Wildflowers bloom all season long, which is why it's no surprise that famous botanist William Bartram's namesake trail is home to these mountains. The famous Applachain Trail crosses the Bartram Trail less than an hour from Highlands' town center! From deer to blackbears, otters and trout, many wildlife species inhabit local forests. Did we mention, our signature waterfall on hole #15 is the head of the stunning Cullasaja River? Our Club is located just off what's known as the Mountain Waters Scenic Byway- check it out!
